R.I.P> To the Sister Of Mannie Fresh

The sister of producer Mannie Fresh was killed in the recent days. This story appeared on defsounds.com :

A newlywed and mother of two was gunned down in her Algiers, New Orleans, home while her young children were inside.
Angela Bryant, sister of Mannie Fresh, was found gunned down in her home Thursday morning, however, authorities believe she was murdered Wednesday night between ten and midnight.
Bryant's two children, ages 2 and 7, were in the home during the murder but were safe and unharmed. Her husband was out of town and arrived at the scene grief stricken Thursday afternoon.
"We are still working on the motive." Said SUPT. Warren Riley of the New Orleans Police Department.
"We do have some limited information relative to leads at this point, but it's still very early at this point." He continued.
Authorities say it's too early to know whether this was a home invasion or if Bryant knew her killers, however they did confirm that there was no forced entry into the house.
"We haven't drawn any conclusions or made any eliminations--as the day progresses we hope to learn more but it's a working progress" said Assistant New Orleans Police Superintendent Marlon Defillo.
Police are currently searching for Bryant's black 1998 Lexus LS 400 with tinted windows (License plate # PTF205) which disappeared after her murder. If you have any information, please call Crime Stoppers at (504) 822-1111 or (807) 903-STOP

Our prayer go out to the family of Mannie Fresh

YOUNG BUCK DENIES RUMORS

I guess he must have heard me talking. G-Unit Rapper Young Buck released a statement concerning his alleged getting robbed. Here is his statement :

""Ain't nobody robbed me for a thing. There was an altercation between me and a dude here in Tennessee and during that altercation, I lost a watch which came off my arm. But as far as someone taking my Bentley, my Bentley is sitting pretty without a scratch on it, right here in my driveway and my jewelry is right here too. I guess this is what people wanted to happen. I didn't get robbed for anything. I don't owe anyone money and the dude who I had the altercation with knows me and I know him and we already had our words since the altercation happened, so whoever is posting this or commenting on this recklessly is trying to take Buck down but you can't take Buck down."

I hope is not true but how does somebody just lose their diamond watch??? Let me know what ya'll think.

MYSPACE ARTIST OF THE WEEK: Reed Dollaz

If your from the Philadelphia area the name Reed Dollaz rings bells like ding dong ditch...ya dig? But if your not familiar with the name you soon will be. Here is a bio that can be found on his myspace page:

"Fareed Richards a.k.a. Reed Dollaz was born in Philadelphia in November of 1986. At the young age of 11, Reed's rapping mentor, Nino Brown saw a musical flare in him and pushed Reed to become who he is today. Nino Brown put Reed into the studio using his own money and encouraged the young rapper to participate in many rap battles. Growing up in the Bartram Village projects in Southwest Philadelphia with his grandmother, Reed learned early on how to fend for himself.
The glitz and glamour of street life was not far behind. Reed has faced many hardships while coming up on the drug-infested 58th Street. But all this has never stopped him from economic pressures and obligations to his family. And this material wealth has just pushed him to do more. Reed Dollaz currently has the highest sold mix-tapes in Philadelphia and the tri-state area. He has made a powerful impact on the music scene with mix-tapes and DVD's. His underground projects have made him the highest-grossing hip-hop artist in Philadelphia. His discography includes A.A.P. (August 2005), Dollar Day (November 2005), Enemy of the State (May 2006), and Say Cheese (December 2006) – which all endeavor to promote him as Philadelphia's poster child. With over 30 DVD's and films under his belt Reed's filmography is too extensive to mention.
Reed's talent has been recognized at both at the underground and mainstream level. Reed was nominated for Best Up and Coming Artist at the Philadelphia Hip-Hop Awards. Reed has performed on Power 99's Come-Up Show numerous times. He has also performed on BET's 106 & Park on Freestyle Friday and at BET's Spring Bling in South Beach. Reed has had collaborations with many main stream music artists including: Doug E. Fresh (Def Jam), Rob Base, Yung Joc (Bad Boy South), Freeway (Roc-a-fella/G-Unit), Gillie Da Kid, Cyssero, Ricah Marley, Young Steff, Roscoe P. Coldchain, and Sand Man.
Reed's lyrical style is being recognized across the country. With networking communities such as MySpace and YouTube Reed's work is being seen across the world. Reed has an alarming 800,000 MySpace plays and an astounding 4 million YouTube views. These numbers include the 52 fake Reed Dollaz pages posted by fans. The people have spoken and the reign of the explosive rapper from Philadelphia will not stop.

Kelly's People there was never a signed agreement that Ne-Yo would be on the tour. However.... it seems that R. Kelly is a little scared of being out shined on his own tour. NEW ALBUM : FREEWAY - FREE At LAST

Its been four years since Freeway has released an album. His last disc, "Philadelphia Freeway", was well a hit. It peaked at #5 on the Billoard Top 200 Charts. With the majority of the albums tracks being done by Just Blaze its hard not to be a hit. His singles "What We Do", featuring Jay-Z and Beanie Sigel, and "Flipside" featuring Peedi Crakk hit 47 and 40 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks respectivly. But after four years , the break up of his label and its parent labels main players, State Property and Roc-a-fella Records, and not being featured on any singles in awhile things looked very bleek for Freeway. Yet a few months ago Freeway released a new single called "Big Spender", featuring Jay-Z, that has once again lit a fire under the North Philadelphia Artist. Jay-z only one of the big name artist that are featured on the album. Guest stars include Marsha Ambrosius of Floetry, Co-Exectivie Producers of the album Jay-Z and 50 Cent, Scarface, Rick Ross, Dre of the hit producing team Cool & Dre, Busta Rhymes, and the newest Roc-A-Fella artist Jadakiss. The album is solid and is one that you can listen to all the way from track one to track fourteen. I give the album a 4/5. Go Cop it...ITS DA ROC
